Meet your representatives

James Bull
Elected

As one of the candidates standing for this years board elections, I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself. My name is James Bull and I along with Rita and our son Caleb have been a part of the Jireh School community since 2016.

I am the New Zealand National Sales Manager for New Zealand King Salmon. I am passionate about our community, our school and our school governance and I believe that I can offer expertise in helping support the running of Jireh school. I have worked successfully in corporate management for a number of years and I have a range of skills that I believe are beneficial to the school particularly in strategic thinking and financial awareness.

Rita and I are committed Christians and we believe that a Christian commitment is important at school as well as at home. I would love to work with the rest of the board and Management team to make a great school even better. Thanks!

Michael Causley Profile - History My parents were missionary’s in Papa New Guinea, so I grew up in a Christian home. When I was 8 I went to a Christian school for a year which gave me a huge appreciation for the value of Christian education over secular. I have a strong belief that Christian education is vastly superior to secular because of the environment the culture and nurturing during the years of development. - Faith I have made Jesus the cornerstone of my life and of everything I do, I base my life on the word of God. My faith in God includes the conviction that God will not make it happen but rather that he empowers us through what Jesus did 2000 years ago to move Mountains with our faith and our words. As such I see our role as critical to shape the future.

- Work I am an engineer and have worked as a full time Electronics design engineer for over 20 years and now run a consultancy doing Electronic Design. I also have a Power company which I manage and I have been involved in a number of other business in senor positions over the past 10 years. I have a good knowledge of business and management and experience in making consequential decisions in such roles. I was co-opted on to the Jireh EBOT last year and have served as a member of the Establishment board since then and received training provided in that role.

Amrita Sadanand
Elected

My name is Amrita. I’m married to Jiney and we have two boys, Ryan and Joel who both attend Jireh. I was born in India, moved to Malaysia when I was three and at ten I migrated to New Zealand with my family. After high school I gained a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Auckland University and started working at the National Bank. In Late 2007 I went overseas to Texas, USA to get married and lived there for two years. We started our family after returning home and I have enjoyed being a stay at home mum ever since. We chose Jireh so that our children could learn in a Christian environment and grow spiritually. During these years we have seen the positive impact of Christian education in their lives. I have enjoyed accompanying them on various school trips and being a coordinator for cultural week. During my time at the bank I had various roles from being a customer services officer to a personal banking consultant. I later moved into a management role as a senior team leader. Managing a team enabled me to develop my leadership and organisational skills. However, I feel my ability to relate to different people from all walks of life was paramount to the role. Developing my people skills has been advantageous in both my professional and personal life, and I hope to continue utilising them in the future at Jireh. My great grandfather was the first person in my family to become a Christian, for which his family disowned him. Because of the faith and prayers of my great grandparents many of my relatives are Christians today. Personally, I gave my heart to the Lord at 15. We attend Church Unlimited and my husband and I lead a life group at our home fortnightly. After becoming a parent my walk has deepened as I realise how vital it is that we equip our children spiritually, so that they can not only face the future but also impact the next generation for God. It would be a privilege to serve on the board at Jireh and an opportunity to give back to the school that has already given so much to my family.

Werner Schroeder
Elected

I have been serving as a Reverent/Minister in the Reformed Church (South Africa) and then Presbytery Church (New Zealand) for the decade and a half. As in Joel 2, I truly believe that the Children and Youth form an integral part of how our Heavenly Father builds and shapes his Kingdom and therefore aim to foster this sense of inclusion of children/young people in all aspects of ministry. Additionally, I am aware of the importance of this being a lifestyle and not isolated experiences and aim to support and facilitate this. During my time as a Minister, I have gain extensive experience of facilitating biblical education, strength finder coaching, outreach projects, counselling and pastoral care for children and youth of all ages in and outside of the school context. My wife and I have two boys, Alexander who is 8 years old and Reuvan, 4 years old. Alex attends Jireh School and Reuvan will hopefully follow in his brother's footsteps next year. I hope to serve on the Board of Trustees to support strong professional leadership and ensuring effective teaching for all students whilst emphasizing the Biblical Principles Jireh values.

Dianne Thompson
Elected

Ko Kohukohunui taku maunga Ko Ngati Paoa taku iwi Ko Dianne Thompson taku ingoa My name is Dianne Thompson and I'm standing for election of the Jireh Christian School Board of Trustees. My husband and I have been involved with Jireh for the past 7 years and both our two boys attend Jireh. For the past year I have had the privilege of being a co-opted parent representative on the Board. It is an honour to be part of the team which is forging the way ahead for Jireh, continually seeking God's direction and striving for our school to be the best it can possibly be. I have worked in the legal industry since leaving school and have carved a successful career as a legal executive, currently working in a very busy suburban law firm. I am all about attention to detail and like getting things done with minimal fuss. As a family we attend LIFE - North Campus where we have been for the past 8 years. I look forward to continuing to serve our parent community as part of the Jireh Christian School Board of Trustees as we keep striving for all God has for us.
